Shooter Fees
Adults: $10.00 per shoot / Youths: Under 15 Free
Equipment
Shooters are responsible for maintaining their equipment safe and within the specifications of the manufacturer.
Bow: Any type of bow that falls into the category of a compound, long or recurve may be used. (Crossbows may be used at the clubs, but will not be part of the league - please check the club's policies about crossbows.)
Stabilizers: Any type, length or style may be used
Arrows: Any arrow adhering to the manufactures’ specifications for safe shooting shall be used. It is the shooters responsibility to inspect their arrows to ensure they are safe prior to shooting. (NO BROADHEADS)
Release: Any type of release may be used (Fingers, Thumb, Trigger, Back Tension).
Rangefinders: Will be permitted on courses for determining yardage, should the shooter choose to use one.
Sights: The shooter can use any sight., scope or any other device that may enhance their sight.
Binoculars: Any type or power of binoculars will be permitted.
Shooting Classes
Bowhunter 3D will consist of 7 classes. The shooting class will be determined by the by the shooting stake, sex and age of the shooter
Male Unlimited: Shot from Yellow Stake – Open Equipment (Any Equipment)
Male Bowhunter: Shot from Orange Stake – No Scopes (Movable pin, Stabilizers under 12 inches are approved)
Male Traditional: Shot from White Stake – Compound, Long Bow or Recurve, no sights with finger release
Female Unlimited: Shot from Yellow Stake – Open Equipment (Any Equipment)
Female Bowhunter: Shot from Orange Stake – No Scopes (Movable pin, Stabilizers under 12 inches are approved)
Female Traditional: Shot from White Stake – Long Bow or Recurve, no sights with finger release
Youth: Shot from the Traditional stake or closer (Class determined by age – Under 15)

Targets
Each Club will be responsible for maintaining a minimum of 30 shootable targets that will be placed in realistic scenarios. More than 30 targets may be placed on the course and scored during any shoot hosted by a club. Each target shall have three scoring rings visible on the target to allow proper scoring.
Scoring
Each animal shall have three scoring rings with the inner most ring scoring at 12 points, the next score ring scoring at 10 points and the outer-most scoring ring should be scored at 8 points. Any arrow residing in the target and not touching the outer portion of a score ring (body shot, hooves, antlers) will count as 5 points. Any arrow that doesn’t place in the target at all (miss) will be counted as a 0 points.
Any target that has both ASA and IBO scoring rings, the IBO rings will be used unless noted by the club.
Target Placement
All yardages will have +/- of 5 yards.
Unlimited Stake
Small Targets (skunk, raccoon, turkey): Max 30 yards
Medium Targets (bear, cougar, deer): Max 45 yards
Large Targets: (lrg deer, standing bear, elk): Max 50 yards
Bowhunter Stake
Small Targets (skunk, raccoon, turkey): Max 25 yards
Medium Targets (bear, cougar, deer): Max 35 yards
Large Targets: (lrg deer, standing bear, elk): Max 45 yards
Traditional Stake
Small Targets (skunk, raccoon, turkey): Max 10 yards
Medium Targets (bear, cougar, deer): Max 20 yards
Large Targets: (lrg deer, standing bear, elk): Max 30 yards
Trophies/ Prizes
Division - Top Shooter: (Vest)
"Top Shooter" will be determined by the total of the highest scores
from each club. A shooter will need to shoot a minimum of 2 shoots per
club in a Division. A shooter may qualify in both Divisions if they shot
twice at every Club in both Divisions.
Unlimited, Bowhunter and Traditional
Division - 2nd and 3rd place: (Pin / Medallion) the average score from all shoots in a single division + plus bonus points for every shoot attended over the 2 qualifying shoots.
Division Club Trophy: A revolving trophy will be presented to the club that has had the most shooters from their participating club shoot at another. The Club that has the most combined shooters from their club participating at another club in a single Division will be able to show off the trophy for the following year. One club may win both trophies for both Divisions. The number of shooters will be determined by registration sheet and scores cards turned in (will need 1 score card for every registration sheet)
Club Champion: (Pin / Medallion) the total combined score for a single shooter at a participating club. Shooter does not need to be a member of the club to win and each club will have a Club Champion. (A shooter may be a Club Champion for more than one club)
Youth Trophies: The Youth shooter will need to shoot at one shoot per club in a division to qualify. Each qualifying youth shooter will receive a Ribbon/Medal. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy will be presented to the highest scoring shooter in each division.
Free Shoot: Each week a drawing will take place from turned in scorecards to determine a free shoot that will allow the shooter to shoot the following month at that specific club to shoot for free. (Shooters will be notified by phone, posted on the Website and BOWHUNTER 3D will coordinate it with the club)
